Scholarships
Members of AFP San Antonio (and non-members for membership category only) are eligible to receive scholarships and awards to assist in their professional development, enhance their fundraising skills, and serve their organizations with an increased commitment to our profession. All stages of professional development are supported through the Scholarship Program with the following awards.

Membership Grants
Young Professional Membership for one year national and local dues ($95 value).
Eligibility Requirements
- Candidate must be 30 years old or younger.
- Candidate must subscribe to the AFP Code of Ethical Standards and promote the Donor Bill of Rights.
- Candidate must be employed, or have been employed, by an organization that provides benefits to society and hold or have held some degree of responsibility directly for fundraising and be compensated for their services.
- If awarded a grant, member is expected to serve as a volunteer on a Chapter committee or sub-committee or assist at one or more chapter events during the year of the award.
- Priority will be given to need-based applicants, although need is not a requirement for applying.
Professional Membership for one year national and local dues ($335 value).
Eligibility Requirements
- Candidate must hold some degree of accountability for income generation within the fundraising process.
- Candidate must hold some degree of responsibility directly for fundraising.
- Candidate must be compensated for their services.
- Candidate must subscribe to the AFP Code of Ethical Standards and promote the Donor Bill of Rights.
- If awarded scholarship, member is expected to serve as a volunteer on a Chapter committee or sub-committee or assist at one or more chapter event during the year of the award.
- Priority will be given to need-based applicants, although need is not a requirement for applying.
- Only one application for a membership grant from the same organization will be considered each year.
Education Scholarships
Education Conference Scholarship -- Four awards are available to attend the education conference.
Eligibility Requirements
- Candidate must be a current member of the AFP San Antonio Chapter.
- If awarded a scholarship, member is expected to serve on a Chapter committee during the year of the award.
- Greater consideration will be given to members who are actively volunteering for the chapter.
- Priority will be given to need-based applicants, although need is not a requirement for applying.
Jay Ribble Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) Test Scholarship (must be used within one year of award)
