Join us for AFP San Antonio’s one-day conference to refresh your skills, regain your enthusiasm, and become inspired to continue making an impact on your community. At the 2019 Impact & Inspire Conference, you will hear from local experts on a variety of topics related to the fundraising & the non-profit environment in San Antonio. And, you can earn up to five CFRE credits.

This event will feature an opening session by Bob Rivard, a lunch session by Jennifer Lehman of Mission Advancement, and a number of breakout sessions to suit your areas of interest. We look forward to having you be a part of this day of growth!

How do you master the art of story-telling? Bob Rivard will detail the importance of having your facts and figures correct to break through the information wall, while still connecting with people emotionally.

  • Breakout 1: Effectively Tracking Donor Data: Greg Cortez, CFRE

Building a donor base takes thoughtful planning. In this presentation, Greg Cortez will discuss the collection, maintenance, and analysis of data, along with the importance of implementing a donor diversity plan.

  • Breakout 2: What You Missed at ICON: Mary Kay Martinez, CFRE

Mary Kay Martinez will cover the key highlights from AFP’s spring ICON Conference. This fast-paced session will answer questions about destructive fundraising practices, re-approaching foundations, and what donors really want.

  • Breakout 2: Digital Communication: Nisi Bennett

Do you have a marketing plan? Nisi Bennett will guide you through this workshop that will help you create a simple yet efficient marketing plan to drive your organization forward.

12:15-1:25:      Lunch Keynote: “In the Mind of a Major Donor” by Jennifer Lehman

Each of your major donors should be treated as an individual, highly-valued part of your organization. But how can you make sure they feel valued? Jennifer Lehman of Mission Advancement will discuss the importance of true relationship-based fundraising in this lunch keynote lecture.

The Journey to Making an Impact (Evita Morin)

Evita Morin of Rise Recovery will discuss the passion and that drove her down her own personal journey to serving the San Antonio community.

A Grateful Conversation: How I’ve Been Impacted (Richard Farias & Greg Torres)

In this candid conversation, Richard Farias (Alamo Colleges) will interview Greg Torres about the life-changing impact the non-profit community has had on him.
